Clear the Shelters: Adoption Tips

With the Clear the Shelters event coming up at Cara's House on Saturday, August 19th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. we wanted to get some tips on how to make your new furry friend's transition into your family as easy as possible.

Jolie Culpepper, Vice President of Cara's House, has seen first hand animals can come from many different walks of life and how that affect each animal differently.  She has some expert advice on how to acclimate both cats and dogs to their new homes.

If you're looking to adopt a new pet, the perfect time is next Saturday when the adoption fees will be lowered to $10 for cats/kittens and $20 for dogs/puppies for one day only.  Each animal comes fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped.

You can also bring your cats and dogs that you already own to be micro chipped for just $15, thanks to Dr. Jensen from MJ's Veterinary Services.
