Third arrest made in East Polk St. shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - UPDATE: A third arrest has been made in the fatal shooting on East Polk Street. 

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, 24-year-old John Dunbar was arrested Wednesday night in connection to the shooting death of Donald Wayne Ely on June 29. 

Dunbar has since been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of second degree murder.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, 45-year-old Deldridge Wilson was arrested Tuesday in connection to the shooting death of Donald Wayne Ely on June 29. 

Wilson has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one charge of principal to seconod degree murder. 

Previous Story: After nearly two months of searching Baton Rouge Police Detectives, in collaboration with the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force, arrested Willie Tyrone Dunbar, 27, Monday night in connection with the shooting death of Donald Wayne Ely.

Ely was shot multiple times at 620 East Polk St. and died on the scene June 29.

Dunbar was later booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of Second Degree Murder, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Fugitive from Ascension Sheriff Office and Fugitive from LSU Police Department.
