Authorities find $90,000 of meth in Slidell man's home

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's detectives arrested a Slidell area man on Thursday after $90,000 worth of meth was found in his home. 

On December 14, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force detectives arrested Steven Zoerner, 55, 4303 Ash Drive following a narcotics investigation.

A search warrant was executed at Zoerner's home and during the search, detectives found around two pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $90,000.

STPSO Narcotics Task Force detectives said they also recovered numerous dosage units of prescription medication, a small amount of marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Steven Zoerner was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

He was charged with possession of more than 400 grams of Methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II CDS, three counts of possession of a Legend Drug, possession of a Schedule I CDS and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The STPSO Narcotics Task Force is made up of detectives from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Mandeville Police Department, Covington Police Department and the Slidell Police Department.
