Authorities search for burglar who robbed pharmacy in blonde wig with a hammer

PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - UPDATE: Baton Rouge Police has arrested 36-year-old Aaron Beyl on Wednesday, June 28, at a residence in Baton Rouge.

Beyl was wanted for burglarizing Galvez Pharmacy on Sunday, June 18, according to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre.

Beyl was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail where he will be transported to the Ascension Parish Jail at a later date.

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking a man who robbed a pharmacy in a blonde wig, pink gloves, and a green hoodie with hammer Sunday morning.

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public locating Aaron Beyl who burglarized a local Prairieville pharmacy, Galvez Pharmacy, located on Highway 42. Surveillance video shows a white male in disguise exit a Toyota Camry and run to the door of the pharmacy with a red hammer. After breaking the glass the man then runs inside the store to steal an undisclosed amount of prescription medications.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 36-year-old Aaron Beyl after detectives located the vehicle at a residence in Baton Rouge. Beyl wasn't at the residence however several wigs, a red hammer, and mask was discovered inside the vehicle.

Beyl has a lengthy criminal history which includes burglary of a pharmacy in 2006 and 2012 and obtaining prescription by fraud in 2010.
