BRPD Officer on paid leave following Tuesday night shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - Baton Rouge Police officer, Yuseff Hamadeh was placed on paid administrative leave following a shooting that occurred on June 13.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. near the 1100 block of South Acadian Thruway which resulted in the death of 35-year-old Jordan Frazier. According to authorities, BRPD was conducting a traffic stop when the passenger, Frazier, exited the vehicle with a gun to which an officer opened fire killing Frazier on the scene.

In accordance with a between the Baton Rouge Police Department and the Louisiana State Police, troopers were called in to investigate the incident. 

The investigation is still ongoing and more details will be released as the investigation unfolds.
