Fiesta kicks off Casas for CASA playhouse fundraiser

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocates Association kicked off its 23rd annual Casas for CASA playhouse fundraiser with CASA Fiesta on Sunday, July 16, from 5-8 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel. Casas for CASA 2017 is presented by title sponsor Faulk and Meek General Contractors and supports CASA’s advocacy efforts on behalf of abused children in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Guests enjoyed a silent auction, delicious Mexican cuisine donated by Caliente Mexican Craving, and a DJ provided by Premier Production and Sound Services, LLC. Beverages were donated by Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Mockler Beverage Company.

The 2017 “Grand Victorian” CASA playhouse will be on display through Aug. 13 at the Mall of Louisiana in the main entrance corridor between Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn. The playhouse was designed by Lilliput Play Homes and will be assembled by Faulk and Meek General Contractors. Raffle tickets are $5 each for a chance to win and are available online at casabr.org, at the mall, or at the CASA office, 848 Louisiana Ave. Faulk and Meek General Contractors will deliver the playhouse to the winner within 60 miles of the Mall of Louisiana.

Casas for CASA will conclude on Aug. 13 with the playhouse giveaway taking place at 5 p.m. Winner need not be present to win.
