Livonia hosts annual Mardi Gras

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - Mardi Gras, also known as "Fat Tuesday" is this around the corner; but the party is just getting started according to local neighbors in Livonia, Louisiana.

This afternoon residents celebrated the Livonia Carnival Mardi Gras parade. The Louisiana Ghostbusters came back for the parade this year to ride out the parade.

"We've been coming our to the Livonia area every year," said James Gaspard, member of the Louisiana Ghostbusters. "For us to come out and do the smaller parades and give back to the people is something else."

The day full of Mardi Gras festivities, beads, and all throws you can think of is set for Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

During the parade, people donated money for the American Cancer Society.
