NEW YEAR RESOLUTION: Baton Rouge man hopes for peaceful 2018 in BR

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - 2018 is just around the corner and with the new year slowly approaching, many people like to re-evaluate their life choices by making new year resolutions.

For some it may be to get back into shape, but for Alfred Bell; it's deeper.

According to Bell, the new year means we all get another chance to make things right as a community.

"I would like to see the city of Baton Rouge to come together," said Bell, a local resident. "Black, white, police, and the community. Everybody [must] work together to bring the killings down."

From Friday to Saturday, Law Enforcement had their hands tied as they were investigating multiple shootings in a span of 24 hours putting the city of Baton Rouge to at least 100 shootings in 2017, according to reports.

Anyone with information to these shootings is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
