SMPSO arrests Breaux Bridge men on drug and weapons charges

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - On Thursday, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division arrested two men on drug and weapons charges.
On the morning of February 1, Narcotics Agents conducted a narcotics investigation in the 1000 block of Bill Clause Drive in Breaux Bridge. 
Major Ginny Higgins, PIO for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, said that the investigation led Sheriff's to find a loaded handgun, high-grade marijuana and United States currency.
SMPSO then arrested Breaux Bridge residents, Raphael Nadie, 25 and Milton Batiste, 21 and charged them with the following,   
Raphael Nadie:
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1
  • Transactions Involving Proceeds From Drug Offenses
Milton Batiste:
  • Possession Firearm Committing/Attempt Crime
  • Possession of Firearm Concealed by Convicted Felon
  • Improper Lane Usage
 Higgins said that Nadie and Batiste were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
