State Rep. C. Denise Marcelle to address flood recovery and criminal justice reform

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - A town hall meeting is being held by state representative C. Denise Marcelle, District 61, to address Flood Recovery and Criminal Justice Reform on August 8, 2017.

Representative from various governmental entities, such as the Governor's Office and FEMA, will be in attendance to help answer questions from residents. Local vendors will be on-site to provide informational packets to residents who are rebuilding their lives after historic flooding destroyed homes and business last year.

Also there will be representatives from Louisiana CURE and V.O.T.E. to discuss criminal justice reform and what goals they have to help prevent Louisiana from housing more prisoners than any other state or country.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at Gus young BREC Gym, 4201 Gus Young Avenue, and is open to the public.
