Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office arrest two individuals for aggravated burglary

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - On December 27, 2017, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office investigated a burglary at the Create-A-Cig Shop on University Ave. in Hammond, LA. 

The business owner, Louisiana State Police and Hammond Police Department assisted TPSO detectives in finding the stolen items and making two arrests. 

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards said in a press release that two subjects shot their way into the shop. 

Once inside, the thieves shot into the glass cases and stole a large amount of merchandise including several electronic cig’s valued over one thousand dollars. 

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Jason Paul Shelton, 17, of Hammond, LA and Shane Michael Freeman, 18, of Walker, LA.

Shelton and Freeman were both charged with aggravated burglary.
