The Dunham School celebrated State Championship on Monday afternoon

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - The Dunham School won their first state championship since 1998 this weekend and celebrated with a schoolwide parade on Monday afternoon. 


The LHSAA Division III State Basketball Champions held the parade at 2:30 p.m on the Dunham campus. 


Phyllis Alexander, Director of Communications for The Dunham School said, Coach Jonathan Pixley led the Tigers to a title by the closest of margins on Saturday. 


The Dunham School beat Episcopal High School 49-48 in Burton Coliseum on the McNeese State University campus. 


Alexander said, this is the Tigers third state basketball championship.
