The Emerge Center sets sail for third annual signature gala

BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) - The Emerge Center for Communication, Behavior and Development will host their third annual signature gala on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at The Emerge Center located at 7784 Innovation Park Drive.

Adopting a new theme each year, this year’s gala will take guests on a musical pleasure voyage as they Emerge Into Paradise. The clinic’s facility will be transformed into a tropical paradise featuring yacht-rock band Where Y’acht, DJ Otto’s Underwater Aquarium Lounge, a classic piano bar, and more. The night will be filled with unique culinary delights, ending with a performance by the headlining act “Stayin’ Alive,” a Bee Gees tribute.

Event sponsorships and ticket sales will raise critical funds for day-to-day operations at the center, allowing greater access to their services for more children in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. This year’s gala will be presented by The Irene W. and C.B. Pennington Foundation with additional support from EXCEL.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.emergela.org/events.

The Emerge Center, a Baton Rouge non-profit established in 1960, provides state of the art assessment and therapeutic services for children with communication, behavior and developmental delays, including autism, as well as audiology services for all ages. It is the first center of its kind in the area to provide all of these services under one roof, to better treat the child as a whole.  Last year Emerge served nearly 1,000 in their children’s development center, including over 100 in their programs for children with autism.  They do not turn anyone away based on their ability to pay, and support from the community makes this possible.
