Workout Wednesday Kickboxing

BATON ROUGE, LA (LOCAL33) (FOX44) - Happy Hump Day! If you are feeling the mid-week blues no need to worry because we are going to punch, hit and kick our way through a kickboxing addition of Workout Wednesday. 

Instructor Byron Johnson said his kickboxing class is all about cardio!

"We do general karate moves but at the same time we do them at a real high pace. So I try to get them moving and sweating a little bit," said Johnson.

At the beginning of class Johnson walked us through a series of movements. The first move is your typical warm up bouncing from side to side. Then we start throwing in some punches. After that we add in a few more punches and then a knee.

After the first set was finished it was time for round two!

And just when you thought it was going to get easier we hit the floor for some ab work. 

Then we wrap up with some stretching. 

If you're usually cardio routine is getting boring this is a great way to supplement a fun and exciting cardio workout while working on strength and flexibility. That is always great to incorporate in your workout.
