More Spotty Storms To Dodge In Final Days Of Spring

The potential for a tropical system in the Gulf makes our forecast uncertain.

6-18-2017 - Storms are quickly coming to an end Sunday evening and we should be able to keep things dry overnight. Temperatures will bottom out near 74 degrees.

As we head into Monday afternoon, a few more hit and miss storms will start to fire off again. while some areas will stay dry, others will see some heavy rain and lightning in part of the afternoon or evening. For those that stay dry, highs will be near 91, but the humidity will make it feel closer to 100.

Another round of scattered storms will move through Tuesday with highs near 90.

The forecast then gets more uncertain with the likelihood of a tropical depression or tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico by midweek. This will likely increase our rain chances, even if the storm does not come to Louisiana and help keep temperatures a little lower. Stay tuned for updates on the potential tropical system!
