Anum joined the BRproud team in August 2020. 

She is excited to find stories around the capitol city and dive into the culture. 

Anum is a recent graduate from Loyola University New Orleans. In New Orleans Anum spent her time covering major stories including the Hard Rock collapse. Besides being a New Orleans native, she experienced the NOLA culture through her story telling by reporting on Carnival season and the Saints. 

She interned at two local news stations in New Orleans, where she shadowed reporters and created her own packages. She also worked for GrayTv’s national investigative team. As a research assistant, Anum obtained public records and conducted interviews for investigative stories.

​When Anum isn’t storytelling, she is lifting weights at the gym and focusing on her health. She also enjoys being involved in her South Asian community and practices the experiences it has to offer.
