Ariel Salk was born and raised in the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix Arizona. She is excited to take a deep dive into Baton Rouge while she builds the Investigative Unit for WVLA and WGMB.
Ariel graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast and mass communication.
She began her career as an intern with KPNX 12 News I-Team in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon graduation, Ariel had a fellowship at Carnegie Knight News 21, an investigative documentary team. Ariel loves traveling and cooking with her husband. If she is not on her next adventure, she is snuggling with her three cats, drinking coffee and knitting.
