This is Chessa Bouche’s second stint in Baton Rouge and she’s thrilled to be back in the Red Stick!
She comes way of Lubbock, Texas where she worked at KCBD News Channel 11 as the weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter covering everything Texas Tech and all high school sports.
Chessa always wanted to be a sports reporter and now she’s living her dream.
She started her career in Hattiesburg, Mississippi covering Southern Miss.
Her second stop was in College Station where she worked at KBTX Media as a Sports Reporter. She learned the Aggie way, but her ties to the SEC run deep.
Chessa attended Ole Miss for undergrad and during her time in Oxford she was a Diamond Girl for the Ole Miss baseball team and helped with game day operations.
She’s proud to be from Bossier City, Louisiana, but loves the southern culture and the people in South Louisiana. Nothing compares to the bottom of the boot!
Chessa has a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from LSU. During her time in Baton Rouge she interned for WAFB, which turned into her freelancing for Channel 9. She covered everything LSU. She also worked with ESPNU and LouisianaFB.com.
Even though she’s small in stature she’s got a heart of a tiger. Chessa played semi-professional basketball in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2007.
When Chessa’s not working she enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, watching sports, spending time with her puppies Scout and Shortstop, and Mexican food. She’s excited to call Baton Rouge home and can’t wait to tell your story.
