Jacquelyn has had a passion for the news industry since the 6th grade. Her middle school teacher asked if she wanted to be on the morning news. Since then, she knew she wanted to make a successful career as a journalist.
While at Florida State, she was involved in the award-winning live events sports production program, Seminole Productions. Partnered up with the ESPN family, ACCNetwork, and FOX Sports of FL/SUN. She was the Seminole Game Day Host for many sporting events including football, men and women’s basketball, volleyball, and baseball. She was also a sports reporter for the FSU Athletics weekly TV show, Noles All Access. Featured on FOX Sports of FL/SUN giving updates and previews on Seminole Athletics. As well as, writing and producing the success stories of the FSU students-athletes and coaches found on seminoles.com and rosters.
After graduating from Florida State, Jacquelyn joined her first news station working as an MMJ for WJHG Newschannel 7 in Panama City Beach. She couldn’t be more excited to call WGMB/WVLA her new “news” home.
When she’s not in the newsroom, you may find her at your local gym. Be sure to say hello and tell her your favorite places to go in Baton Rouge.
