Pat Timlin

Pat Timlin joined the Geaux Nation Sports team in June 2022 after graduating from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with degrees in journalism and economics.

During his time in Evanston, Pat stayed busy. He was the sports director of the Northwestern News Network. He served as a play-by-play broadcaster and radio show host for WNUR Sports covering Northwestern football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball. He traveled all across the country with the Wildcats from Palo Alto, California, to Ann Arbor, Michigan, and — most notably — three straight Big Ten Tournaments in Indianapolis.

Behind the camera, Pat has been involved in a wide range of productions. His senior year, he joined the Northwestern Athletic Department as a digital media specialist, serving as a video creator for the 2021 National Champion Field Hockey team, 2022 WCWS Softball team and other top athletes at the school such as National Champion Wrestler Ryan Deakin. He spent his summers with the Marquee Sports Network, the home of the Chicago Cubs, working in their production department on Cubs Live! pregame and postgame shows.

While Pat is originally from Chicago and lived in Illinois his entire life, he’s excited to be in one of the greatest sports towns in the country! He covers Southern and LSU, so you can expect to see him all across town.

When he’s not at the station, Pat is most likely at a nearby basketball or beach volleyball court.

If you have a sports story, want to connect, or a restaurant in town that Pat needs to try, you can find him on Twitter (@pat_timlin) or reach him by email at ptimlin@brproud.com.
