BIRMINGHAM, Al. – Over the last three seasons, Southern had a revolving door at quarterback, and senior Ladarius Skelton was stuck in the middle.
During the spring football season, Skelton and fellow quarterback John Lampley rotated nearly every game, and Glendon (Bubba) McDaniel even earned reps on the back half of the Jags’ Bayou Classic victory.
However, unlike years past, interim head coach Jason Rollins put any doubt to bed about who would be QB1.
“It’s the guy who started the whole season last year: Ladarius Skelton. He’s our starting quarterback. We gonna need them both, or all three, to win. You can’t just win the conference, or win the national championship, or go where the places that you’re trying to go with just one guy so you going need them all to win. It’s a great thing to have depth at quarterback,” Rollins said,
