BATON ROUGE, La – The Jaguars pick up their first SWAC win of the year in dominating fashion, 59 to 3 over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Southern set the tone by scoring on the opening drive on a 4 yard pass to Kendric Rhymes from BeSean McCray.

After two disappointing performances, this is exactly what Head Coach Eric Dooley wanted to show the fans what they mean when they say Southern is the standard.

“That’s Jaguar football for 60 Minutes.” Dooley said.

The defensive continued to defend the Bluff, only allowing a single score. On the year, opponents have tallied just three points in A.W. Mumford Stadium.

“Got to protect the Bluff and also take the same energy that we have here and go other places and take over their house.” Defensive Back Corione Harris said.
