Baton Rouge, LA – With a little bit over two weeks until the Jaguars first game, the quarterback battle is picking up at training camp. Transfer BeSean McCray and redshirt-sophomore Harold Blood have separated themselves from the rest of the group.

Head Coach Eric Dooley has spent the entire offseason period evaluating which quarterback he will give the keys of his up tempo offense to.

“When you talk about BeSean, you’re talking about a dual threat quarterback and just the maturity level of him that understanding the game. When you talk about a Harold blood he has a big on he was I guess what you call a gunslinger.” Said Dooley of his top two signal callers.

While McCray came out of the Spring game as the starter, Blood took this summer seriously. He blocked out his social life and made a conscious effort to take his third year on campus seriously.

“Watching on tape the whole summer, and was picking on my weaknesses as well as my strengths,” Said Blood. “and I want to grow my strengths, but as well as my weaknesses, I was hard on myself.”
