It is warming up outside, but that does not mean we should stop maintaining our distance.
LSU Interim President Tom Galligan echoes that thought with this message which went out on Tuesday, April 7.
Dear LSU Community,
With this upcoming Friday, April 10, being a day off before a holiday weekend, I wanted to take this opportunity to remind you all to stay home; please don’t travel if at all possible; and continue following physical distancing guidelines. Governor John Bel Edwards has extended Louisiana’s stay-at-home order to April 30, which means LSU employees will continue working from home as possible through that date, and President Trump has also extended national coronavirus guidelines through the end of April. Many states have their own orders in place as well. It’s especially important right now for all of us to avoid discretionary travel and gathering in groups. With online learning and remote working, the LSU community has been doing a great job of following guidelines and staying home. Let’s keep up the good work and keep making a difference. Stay home, stay clean, and stay safe. Follow CDC guidelines to protect yourself and others around you. And, don’t forget to check lsu.edu/coronavirus and social media for the latest information from LSU.
