First responders all over the country are in need of PPE.
PPE stands for personal protective equipment.
LSU is doing their part to help local hospitals in need of PPE.
A group of LSU members led by LSU Department of Chemistry’s Attres Tagge and Vickie Thornton gathered this PPE for first responders:
- 30,400 nitrile gloves
- 1,200 disposable aprons
- 600 disposable shoe covers
- 100 disposable lab pants
- 50 disposable lab coats
LSU says that these departments also contributed to the collection of PPE, “LSU Department of Chemistry, LSU Department of Biological Sciences, LSU Student Health Center and LSU Construction Management.”
