Wallace Wins Louisiana Women’s Amateur Championship

BATON ROUGE- LSU rising-sophomore Alden Wallace won the 91st Louisiana Women’s Amateur Golf Championship this morning at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.

Wallace, a Shreveport native, won 2 up over defending champion Abbey Daniel of Covington. Wallace advanced from stroke play on Sunday to match play as the ninth seed in the Field of 16. As an incoming freshman last summer, Wallace advanced as far as the semifinals.
