BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Wednesday is Whisker Wednesday!

Emi is a very sweet tortoiseshell-tabby, or “torbie,” up for adoption at Cat Haven in Baton Rouge. She has three legs, but that does not slow her down one bit. Emi had an infected leg upon arrival to Cat Haven and the only solution was to amputate her leg to save her life. She loves to walk around Cat Haven to get her exercise. Emi also gets along with other cats and would do well in a home with a feline friend. She is around two years old, which means her adoption fee is $125, which covers spay/neuter, testing, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, and de-flea/de-worm treatments.

Holly Carey, Executive Director of Cat Haven, says, “Thanks to all who participated in Giving Tuesday. It was a success for us. We reached 87 percent of our goal.”

There are many cats and kittens up for adoption at Cat Haven! If you cannot adopt a furry friend, but you’d like to help out, you can fostervolunteer, or donate! You can also purchase items on Cat Haven’s Amazon wishlist. Cat Haven is in need of donations toward their medical care fund.
