BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Wednesday is Whisker Wednesday!

Millie was rescued by Cat Haven after she was left without food or water for days in an empty apartment. Ever since her rescue, she’s been very wary of people. With time and patience, she may learn to trust people again. Even though Millie is wary of people, she enjoys playing and she has a goofy personality. Millie would need to be the only pet in the family.

Millie is a very playful girl, as you can see in the videos below!

Millie’s adoption fee is $125. You can visit her at Cat Haven, 11130 N. Harrells Ferry Road. Cat Haven is open from noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Events

Now through Saturday, Nov. 25th, Cat Haven is hosting a very unique fundraiser called Renoir or Faux Paw! If you donate $25 to Cat Haven and submit a photo of your pet, an artist will create a portrait. Cat Haven says, “You might get an extremely talented artist, or you might get someone who can barely draw a stick figure.”

The portrait would be a great stocking stuffer, a gift for a loved one, or a “purrfect” treat yourself moment.

You can pick up your portrait from Cat Haven between Thursday, Dec. 14 and Friday, Dec. 22.

How You Can Help Cat Haven

Cat Haven desperately needs fosters and adopters so they can rescue more cats and kittens in need.

There are many cats and kittens up for adoption at Cat Haven! If you cannot adopt a furry friend, but you’d like to help out, you can fostervolunteer or donate. If you cannot foster, adopt, or volunteer, Cat Haven is always in need of cat litter.
