Kirk Vidrine, Health Expert and Owner of V-Well Solutions shared this easy, healthy recipe that will be a hit at your next tailgate.
Ingredients: Juice from 2 lemons, 4 tablespoons of tahini, 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 cans of chickpeas, 1 cup jarred artichokes, 1 clove of garlic, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon of cumin, pinch of cayenne pepper, pinch of sweet or smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of minced fresh parsley.
Hummus: Add lemon juice, tahini, chickpeas, garlic, artichokes, salt, cumin and cayenne pepper to a blender or food processor. Purée, scrapping down as needed until almost fully ground and all ingredients are incorporated. With machine turned on slowly pour olive oil into the blender or food processor to incorporate. Continue to blend until hummus is extremely smooth add a little more water as needed to get the texture you desire. Serve.
