BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Country music star Emmylou Harris has been booked for the Manship Theatre gala at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20.

The 14-time Grammy Award winner’s solo career began in 1975, and since then, the Alabama native has made more than 25 albums and sold in excess of 15 million records, according to the Manship Theatre. Harris has recorded with Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Lyle Lovett.

Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008.

She is joining a distinguished list of musicians who have played at the gala, including The Four Tops and Boz Scaggs. The annual event has been around since 2005 with the goal of raising money for the nonprofit theatre.
