BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A restaurant on Government Street will be closing its doors this weekend. Gov’t Taco announced on their Facebook page that Saturday, Nov. 18 will be their last day. The restaurant gave thanks in their post.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will be permanently closing our doors this Saturday, November 18th.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal taco connoisseurs for supporting us over the years and hope you’ll swing by for one last bite. While this may be the end, we know the delicious memories you’ve made here will live on.
Gov’t Taco was opened in 2018 by Baton Rouge celebrity chef Jay Ducote and was initially located inside Baton Rouge’s White Star Market.
