BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — CareSouth Medical and Dental as well as other community sponsors are hosting COVID-19 drive-thru community testing next week.

The testing will go hand in hand with a back to school giveaway in Plaquemine and Donaldsonville.

The COVID-19 drive-thru community testing and back to school giveaway in Plaquemine runs from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 28.

The following day, the same testing and giveaway is happening in Donaldsonville from 9 a.m. to noon.

“We’re always excited to help the kids prepare for school even though we know this year will be different than others,” said Matthew Valliere, CareSouth CEO. “Helping our families is just one of the many ways we support the communities in which we serve.”

300 backpacks are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The backpacks will have school supplies in them thanks to CareSouth.
