Gov. Edwards says Louisiana will remain in “Phase 2” after current order expires

Gov. Edwards announced Tuesday that he will issue an executive order extending “Phase Two” past Friday when his previous executive order is set to expire to August 7.

At the start of the month, Edwards ordered bars to close and issued a mandate requiring masks be worn in public in response to a resurgence in the number of cases in the state.

Edward’s previous executive order that kept the state “Phase 2” of reopening is set to expire on Friday.
