Zachary to offer free Covid-19 testing May 13

The city of Zachary has partnered with Lane Regional Medical Center and MedComp Sciences to provide 100 free tests to patients in Zachary who are showing symptoms of Covid-19.

The testing will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 at the Zachary Youth Park at 1650 Mt. Pleasant Road.

You must register online in order to get a test, however a doctor’s referral is not required.

The deadline to register is noon on Tuesday, May 12.

“We are very blessed and honored to assist the City of Zachary in any way that we can to help slow the spread of this virus and get our community back to our way of lives,” Brad Schaeffer, CEO, MedComp Sciences said.

“Thank you to MedComp Sciences and Lane Regional Medical Center for assisting our citizens and helping to restore our community. Testing is considered a crucial way of tracking and potentially slowing the coronavirus,” Zachary Mayor David Amrhein said.
