Operation BBQ Relief to serve hot meals in Hammond

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Operation BBQ Relief is coming to the rescue in Hammond, Louisiana! The nonprofit will be serving hot meals to those affected by Hurricane Ida for the foreseeable future.

Daily lunch and dinner pickups will take place at Tangi Academy (43052 Yokum Rd) at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Operation BBQ Relief is a team of pitmasters from different states dedicated to feeding individuals affected by natural disasters.

The organization started in May 2011 and has been deployed over 80 times to serve millions of meals nationwide and one international deployment to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.
