TOKYO, Japan (BRPROUD) – The United States wins by 11 points in the quarterfinals against Canada.

The United States made a blowout six-point lead in the first quarter.

Canada failed to catch up in the second quarter as the United States scored twice the points as Canada.

Maggie SteffensMakenzie Fischer, and Alys Williams were standout athletes on the American team — all scoring three points each.

United States: 7

2nd Quarter

Canada: 2

United States: 4

3rd Quarter

Canada: 0

United States: 0

4th Quarter

Canada: 2

United States: 5

Final Score: 5-16

The American women’s water polo team now moves on to the semifinals.
