Louisiana Birding Trails site nominations open

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Louisiana Birding Trails site nominations are open. The nominations request comes from Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Office of Tourism to redesign state bird trails, 20 years after its launch.

This Louisiana Office of Tourism said this project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration.

“Louisiana is an ideal destination for birding enthusiasts and I’m excited to begin this process to better promote and share Louisiana’s beautiful outdoors and variety of wildlife with visitors from across the world,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “Submit your online nominations to be a part of this amazing project.”

There will be a series of meetings hosted by the Louisiana Office of Tourism to further discuss current birding trails with local communities.
