Louisiana man allegedly set fire to his mother’s home twice

MADISON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – A Louisiana man has been arrested after allegedly setting fire to his mother’s home twice.

On Aug. 3 before 1:30 p.m., Tallulah Fire Department firefighters responded to reports of a house fire in the 300 block of N. Elm Street. The fire was extinguished and damage solely existed in the living room, according to a news release from the State Fire Marshal (SFM).

Deputies determined the fire was intentional and a suspect wasn’t identified yet, according to SFM.

On Aug. 20, another fire was reported at the same house that afternoon. Deputies were able to quickly determine where the fire started and that they were intentionally set.

34-year-old Christopher Coleman of Tallulah was arrested in connection to setting the fires and faces one count each of aggravated arson and simple arson.
