Suspected drug dealer in Lafourche Parish arrested on multiple charges

THIBODAUX, La. (BRPROUD) — A suspected meth dealer in Lafourche Parish was arrested Monday on multiple charges.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) agents arrived at the home of 52-year-old Alan Hebert of Raceland on Jan. 10 with a warrant for his arrest. Hebert was found riding a bicycle when agents approached him.

Hebert attempted to hide a small plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine in his mouth, according to LPSO. During a search of his home, agents discovered eight more small bags of suspected methamphetamines and a firearm.

Hebert was booked into Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex and faces charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

His bail was set at $110,000.
