BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) –The Manship Theatre has released a line-up of films and comedy shows for the month of September.
To kick off the month, a film titled Bodies, Bodies, Bodies directed by Halina Reijn is about a group of wealthy young adults planning a hurricane party at a family mansion. A party game has a devastating turn that has the friends on edge. This film will be showcased on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
A couple weeks after the first showing, The Family Dinner Improv Comedy Show will take place at the Hartley Vey Theatre on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. This improv comedy show is full of live, interactive improv games with the Family Dinner Comedy Troupe. Seating is cabaret-style with four seats per table.
The following weekend, the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival will be shown on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7:00 p.m. The Manhattan Short Film Festival is a festival that will be showing final selections across the world at the same time, where those in attendance vote for Best Film and Best Actor awards from each location. Every film selected becomes qualified for the Oscars for 2023.
