BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — It’s a routine statement that comes after the ball drops, “New year, New you.” While some of the more popular resolutions are put to the wayside, a friendly reminder regarding healthy food trends is a tip that is reliable 365 days of the year.
Baton Rouge’s Chef Celeste stopped by the FOX 44 studio to provide viewers with some of the hottest food trends in 2020. Included in her presentation was mention of better-for-you snacks like ParmCrisps and and Southern Recipe Small Batch, as well as LonoLife bone broth and clean ingredients from Beetnik Foods.
ParmCrisps are 100% cheese crisps that are keto friendly. The snack comes in different flavors including cheddar, sour cream and onion, original, jalapeno and sesame.
Southern Recipe Small Batch are a high protein, low carb pork rind snacks. It’s available in a variety of flavors including seas salt and cracked black pepper, pineapple ancho chile, Korean kimchi BBQ and spicy dill.
LonoLife bone broth is a collagen protein that comes in grass-fed, low sodium, Thai curry and tomato flavors.
Chef Celeste is a Detroit native who is now calls Louisiana home. She received her culinary training in Hawaii and has a passion for “farm to table” which helps enliven her Cajun dishes.
