BRFD responds to fire in ‘closet area’ at Living Waters Community Development

The Baton Rouge Fire Department arrived at 843 N 48th St. a little after 3:20 a.m. on Monday, July 15.

BRFD said, upon arrival firefighters found “smoke coming from a window in the building.”

Fire investigators determined that the fire began in the closet area.

Seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder were used to extinguish the fire in about 20 minutes.

Thanks to the efforts of the Baton Rouge Fire Department, the fire was contained to the closet area.

BRFD said, the Living Waters Community Development suffered $25,000 in damages and “some light smoke damage.”

BRPD and Entergy assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene of the fire.

Fire investigators have not determined what started this fire.
