19-year-old from Zachary charged with 50 counts of child pornography

ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation began to look into the uploading of child pornography after receiving a Cybertip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The investigation centered around 19-year-old Connor Rome, of Zachary.

The affidavit states that the NCMEC report contained more than 60 videos of juveniles being raped.

The investigator estimates that the juveniles were between the ages of 4 and 12.

A search warrant was obtained and a personal e-mail account for Connor Rome was searched, according to the affidavit.

The search uncovered more than 75 videos of boys being raped.

The estimated ages of the boys were between 6 and 12.

The affidavit states that examples of video voyeurism were also located during the search.

Rome was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday, November 22.

The 19-year-old is charged with 50 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles (Under the Age of 13) – (Felony).
