In celebration of New Orleans’s 300th anniversary a local eatery is eyeing a world record 300-foot po’boy sandwich.

At 300 the fried shrimp sandwich is about as long as the Statue of Liberty is high.

The crew at the Parkway Bakery and Tavern spent the day building the 300 foot long po’boy that includes 130 loaves of bread and 175 pounds of gulf shrimp with all the fixins.

The New Orleans’ classic was served for a good cause to benefit the al Copeland Cancer Foundation.
