THIBODAUX, La. (WDSU) — Lt. Governor of Louisiana Billy Nungesser, along with other tourism leaders, held a pardoning for a special crawfish Tuesday.
This was the 5th annual ‘Pardoning of the Crawfish’ featuring the spared crawfish named Lafitte.
Lafitte was named after Chef John Folse’s first restaurant, Lafitte’s Landing Seafood House.
The annual event is held in honor of crawfish season.
Nungesser pardoned the crawfish at a culinary institute at Nicholls State University.
