Hootie & the Blowfish are reuniting, and while the group isn’t bringing their tour directly to Louisiana, there are a few cities within driving distance to check them out.

The band will come together again next year for their first tour in more than a decade.

Hootie & the Blowfish, with two Grammy Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and multiple People’s Choice Awards, remains a top musical draw with audiences nationwide. The band took a break from full-time touring in 2007, reuniting annually for a variety of philanthropic events while also pursuing solo projects.

Next year will mark the band’s first full-time touring year in over a decade as they embark on the Group Therapy Tour for their new album. Hootie & the Blowfish will get started in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The group will make their way to Orange Beach, Alabama; Austin, Texas and Dallas, Texas.

Opening for Hootie & the Blowfish on the tour is the group Barenaked Ladies. They are known for their live performances, complete with comedy and free-style rapping. They have won multiple music awards, sold over 15 million records and were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in March 2018.
