Absentee voting deadline is today


BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Today the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office announced that if you want to request an absentee ballot for the Presidential Primary Election for July 11th you must do so by 4:30 p.m. today (July 7th).

And if you’ve requested but not yet received an absentee ballot you can check on the status by visiting voterportal.sos.la.gov. You can also find your voting location at the same website.

The completed ballot must be turned in to your parish Registrar of Voters no later than 4:30pm on Friday (July 10th).

Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin reminds voters they can still vote in-person on election day.
