Alabama freshman arrested for bomb threat to Tiger Stadium will be brought to Baton Rouge to be arraigned

News

The extradition process has now started, after an Alabama student called in a bomb threat to Tiger Stadium the night of the highly anticipated LSU vs Florida game.

Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore says the 19-year-old will be brought to Baton Rouge to be arraigned.

Moore says without the help of LSU this situation could have extremely worse, causing things to end differently.

“The LSU police department and all of those that work with them got on top of this immediately,” Moore said. “My hat [is] off to them for working the way they did. The way they handled it, they got there very quickly, and it was resolved.”

A spokesperson for LSU says protocol was followed efficiently and effectively and says there’s nothing more important than the safety and well-being of the public on campus.
