All lanes back open on Intracoastal Bridge after completion of repairs

Good news! All lanes are open on the Intracoastal Bridge, according to the DOTD.

ORIGINAL:

Louisiana DOTD is advising that repair work is needed on the Intracoastal Bridge.

That work is requiring an emergency closure of one lane on the Intracoastal Bridge.

LA 1 Intracoastal Bridge Emergency Closure – West Baton Rouge Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 1 Southbound will have the right lane closed on the Intracoastal Bridge. The lane will remain closed until the necessary repairs are made to a joint that has begun to fail. Crews are on site and are working to resolve this issue.

This closure is needed to repair a failing joint on the Intracoastal Bridge.

Permit load restrictions will be up to 12 feet wide; anything over, please contact the permit office.

DOTD appreciates your patience, and reminds you to please drive with caution through construction sites, and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
