Alleged heroin dealer named “Maddy” arrested again by EBRSO

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – 23-year-old Madelyn Payne is behind bars facing multiple charges relating to heroin distribution in East Baton Rouge Parish.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, “During the course of this investigation, undercover purchases of heroin were made from Payne that were captured on audio/video.”

After a month long investigation. Payne was arrested at her home on October 6.

Investigators seized these items:

  • $7,150
  • Half pound of heroin (approx. street value $18,000)
  • 1 gram of methamphetamine

Madelyn Payne also goes by “Maddy” and the 23-year-old is facing these charges:

  • 2 counts of Distribution of Sch. I (Heroin)
  • PWITDS Sch. I (Heroin)
  • Poss. of Sch. II (Methamphetamine)
  • Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia

This is the not the first time that “Maddy” was arrested for alleged heroin distribution.

EBRSO says, “Payne is currently out on 2 bonds from a previous EBRSO Narcotics arrest within the last year relating to distribution of heroin.”
